How dependable and useful are these lotto syndicates? Are they out to make fool of us??

I never used them and I do not trust them. The questions I have are:

1) I cannot reach them in person and I do not feel comfortable send my money to someone who I cannot see.

2) I cannot hold the actual lottery tickets, so this raises the question if they are really buying the tickets, or they just put that money into their saving account? Let's say if they have 10,000 members, each pays $5 a week. Then, that's $200,000 a month!!! From your own personal experience, how often do you win from lottery? Not that often. So, they can safely make up some fake tickets, and no spend a dime.

3) My last question is: if the group number did show up. Can I trust these people to share the jackpot as they promised? Remember my first question?

In conclusion: It's better to play on your own or try to convince your colleagues to play the group lottery.
