Why has the Simpsons show not been syndicated or broadcast on other networks?

It's only on fox! why don't other networks pick up the show? I would like to see the show in other networks! Why has the Simpsons show not been syndicated or broadcast on other networks?
I don't know about where you live but over here (Ireland) they are being broadcasted on several networks. Sky, Channel 4, RTE 1...I don't think you'd be familiar with them.
cause fox probably payed them a lot of money and there is probably some contract. And i guess the ppl that run simpson agreed with that. So it only shows up on fox. Same way some games only come on Playstation or things like that. Some games only come on gamecube. Some people only host a game show on that tv channel.

thats how it works....Why has the Simpsons show not been syndicated or broadcast on other networks?
Simpsons is on other networks, but they are all affiliated.

I think it has something to do with an exclusivity clause in Groening's contract.

That and the Simpsons sucks and hasn't been relevant since the late 80s/early 90s.
Don't know why anyone watches it anyway, they are revolting caricatures, but then again a lot of people can see a lot in it that I can't.Why has the Simpsons show not been syndicated or broadcast on other networks?
They show it on CW as well
it used to be on teletoon
