Are there any criminal gangs/syndicates who refuse to get involved in drugs?

I'm aware of known that are a decent size that don't involve themselves in illegal drugs.

Illegal drugs represent a class of products where huge profits can be made. The products themselves are derived from natural sources w/ either purification or very simple synthesises needed. (cocaine, heroin, marijuana, et cet)

This is why the drug war will fail. As seizure rates increase, product supply lowers relative to demand and price skyrockets and the drug becomes more elitest.

Legalising drugs is the only solution that would provide for effective prevention of minors being able to purchase them, prevent the 50 billion dollar drug war industry from coninuing to drain our pocket books every year, and restore the alliance between the citezenry and the police.

Let's hope common sense prevails, and the folks recognize that it isn't govenrment's place to throw people in jail for an action that harms no one.Are there any criminal gangs/syndicates who refuse to get involved in drugs?
Most gangs will have drug involvement to some degree as its an easy way to generate money.
Unfortunatley no. Even the towel headed terrorists dabble in it. It's the easiest and most effective way to generate money. In the 1950's the Italian mafia tried to steer clear of narcotics, but were tempted by the $$$. It was eventually thier undoing as the new bosses who took power in the 1970's and 80's put thier hands in the product and started using rather than just selling. Are there any criminal gangs/syndicates who refuse to get involved in drugs?

"the official website of retired DEA Agent Celerino "Cele" Castillo III. Cele Castillo served for 12 years in the Drug Enforcement Administration where he built cases against organized drug rings in Manhattan, raided jungle cocaine labs in the amazon, conducted aerial eradication operations in Guatemala, and assembled and trained anti-narcotics units in several countries.

The eerie climax of agent Castillo's career with the DEA took place in El Salvador. One day, he received a cable from a fellow agent. He was told to investigate possible drug smuggling by Nicaraguan Contras operating from the Ilopango Air Force Base.

Castillo quickly discovered that the Contra pilots were, indeed, smuggling narcotics back into the United States - using the same pilots, planes and hangers that the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Council, under the direction of Lt. Col. Oliver North, used to maintain their covert supply operation to the Contras."
I've heard of 'White Collar' gangs who are a more educated form of gang. They avoid the stereotypically criminal nature of the gang and use strategic legal, political, and financial means to achieve their goals. Are there any criminal gangs/syndicates who refuse to get involved in drugs?
NO THERE ARE NO KNOWN CRIMINAL GANGS OR SYNDICATE WHO REFUSE TO GET INVOLVED IN DRUGS. Some syndicate have incorporated not only drugs but also prostitution, illegal copy of DVD and many other illegal stuff. Drugs is the biggest income derived from illegal source. So who wouldn't joining the band wagon of selling drugs, criminal head syndicate even kill one another for their turf control over drugs. So there is no known syndicate who will not engage in drugs.
some gang members are invoved with all crime like drugs and selling etc so id say most of the gang mebers go to the degree on doing drugs etc to be down for there friends
